Now as much as I love MAC products and still have most of their items on my wishlist, their price tags are not so friendly for anyone with a budget. I love matte lipsticks and I usually avoid anything with shine on my face and my lips, I love MAC matte lipsticks though they can be drying on the lips but coupled with proper lip prep the finish always looks amazing. They have lipsticks with different finishes and I ALWAYS go for the matte one but I decided to try out the cremesheen one to see if it can work for me, so grab your cuppa tea and let’s see how this baby performed.
MAC CREMESHEEN LIPSTICK IN SUNNY SEOUL
I got the shade Sunny Seoul which is a lovely cherry blossom pink shade, the lipstick has a subtle pearlescent shimmer which looks great on my lips. This shade is perfect to wear daily and also to work, it isn’t too bright. It’s just perfect!! The formula of this is great, it is smooth, buttery and comfortable to wear. The pigmentation isn’t too great especially if you like pigmented lipsticks like myself, also the longevity isn’t good as well. I found that I had to reapply every third hour, which is a bummer as I’m used to lipsticks which give me more hours of wear.
- Lovely shimmer finish
- Comfortable on the lips
- Less pigmented
- A bit dry and settles into cracks
- Doesn’t last long
I really like the shade of this lipstick, but I don’t think I will be trying out more cremesheen lipsticks. If you are into matte and highly pigmented lipsticks then I suggest you skip these. I can recommend these for those who love subtle and less pigmented lipsticks or maybe for those days when you just want a nice tint of colour on your lips.
Let me know if you tried the MAC Cremesheen lipsticks and also your favourite lipsticks in the comments below.
